Tekashi 6ix9ine to Get No Jail Time After Cooperating With Feds

Tekashi 6ix9ine just found out it pays to be a snitch, because he just got handed the gift of a lifetime with a likely reduced sentence resulting in no jail time.

Tekashi 6ix9ine had been cooperating with police since his arrest by federal investigators in late 2018. He provided insight into the structure of the Nine Trey bloods gang he was a member of and promoted in his music. His information helped authorities identify and prosecute others in the gang.

“[Daniel] Hernandez provided the Government with critical insight into the structure and organization of Nine Trey, identified the gang’s key players, and described acts of violence that he personally witnessed or that he heard about from other Nine Trey members,” his lawyer wrote.

The GUMMO rapper had been facing 47 years in federal prison for racketeering and firearms charges. Today, U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman officially recommended a reduced sentence to the judge.

Many anticipated this outcome, as it was a high certainty that he would benefit from his cooperation. He definitely got a big win with zero jail time, though he would have had time served for the last year he spent in lockup. It’s a far cry from the decades he previously faced.

Now what people want to know is if he’s going to try to jump back in the music game…and if he does…will anyone be listening?
